Shari hates doing dishes. Girls always got stuck doing dishes, so she just became a boy. Dave's a restaurant asshole kicker-outer at Thanksgiving brunch. Then we start talking about Turkey Day, Christmas Songs and Movies. Cindy introduces Jimmy Reads her awesome twist on Name that Tune.   

In tonight's podcast boomXers discuss the cartoons and shows we grew up watching, along with our favorite snacks. Dave, Shari & Cindy start the show; Jimmy is tardy (it took him a while to find a shirt). The TV shows that structured our lives include (but are not limited to) the Roadrunner, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Captain Kangaroo, the Banana Splits, Tom & Jerry, Mr Magoo, Clutch Cargo (only the mouth moves), Pink Panther, Green Acres, Beverly Hill Billies, All in the Family, and more. Shari has an excellent memory and singing voice for cartoon songs and snack jingles. Jimmy wasn't allowed any snacks. :( Why are cucumbers better than men?

Dave, Jimmy, Shari & Cindy hangout once again.  Fall-back: do we care about daylight savings time?  When the frost is on the pumpkin then it's time for Dickey Dunkin.  Allergy chat, urinal humor.  Shari begins her mission to join the American Legion as a female descendant of a war veteran. ASMR - have you heard of it?  You don't need a condom for a mindfuck.  Cindy talks about her experience in jury duty selection.  Dave wants to be globally offensive.  Amazon Prime VS Netflix: shows we like.  Lots of laughs and ridiculousness in this one.  Jimmy mindfucks himself.

 

Jimmy wants to discuss symbols in society. 👌🏽 asshole or white supremacist?  Backward swoosh, backwards flag. Homey don’t play dat. Halloween costumes. Golfers stroke it and wash their balls.  Frog stories. Most inventions are for guys to get chicks. Jimmy turns on old ladies all the time. Flashing boobies, jobbie nooners, one handed golf with the boomXers.  What the fuck is a Wawa? Dave’s golf course update. 

Shari joins the boomX gang of sorts (finally)! We critique our test shows so far and then dip into our favorite topic: music. The romance of record albums, rock & roll, the advent of digital music, downloading and music in the cloud. How we listen to and discover new music these days. Jimmy (possibly the most musically open minded of us four) sings Marshmallow, AC/DC and Barry Manilow. We review old music discoveries - going backwards into our favorite bands' first albums. Bon Scott is the MAN. Shari sings "heavy desert pheasant" and we argue about new singers replacing original singers. Jimmy's band Sweet Savage opened for Black Sabbath (sort of) in the 70's and we fact check Ozzy. Posters from junior high, old movies, TV shows & scary movies. Still a bit random, but always a good time. :)

Jimmy has new equipment. Dave reads feedback on our podcast from Marc Germain. Jimmy goes off on a rant and quits this podcast. Too much work? Dave & Cindy try to talk him off the ledge. Then we check in on Dave's plant move to PA, Jimmy's trip to the dispensary and hanging out with the homeless. What sides of the family do we favor? Dave updates us on his family golf course business and his cool sister. We talk packaging, compostable containers, biodegradable straws, and then stumble into a discussion on veganism. Sugar is more addictive than cocaine. Dave is in an educating mood. This is one of our more random podcasts.
